KIDS YOGA CLASS SCHEDULE (GROOVYKIDS™ PROGRAM)
.:: 6 TO 12 YEARS OLD – Sundays 4 to 5 pm at Naya Yoga & Pilates, Dubai.
Current term runs from April 8 to June 24, 2018.
WHAT IS GROOVYKIDS® YOGA ?
GroovyKids® Yoga was created in Los Angeles, CA in 2004 by Greville Henwood. It is a movement based yoga program for kids to learn yoga poses and grow through positive and non-competitive interaction with others.
WHAT DOES A GROOVYKIDS™ YOGA CLASS LOOK LIKE?
Our GroovyKids™ yoga classes are 60 minutes long. They are made up primarily of movement in the form of asanas (meaning yoga postures). They are often named after things found in nature, from animals to birds to things!
Sometimes we stand on our hands. Other times even on our heads and shoulders, with great attention to safety of course.
Classes always end with some STILLNESS, a key component of the yoga system. And kids ENJOY meditating. While there’s no way for us to really know whether the child’s mind is really still, these are simple tools that learnt at a young age will always EMPOWER the child to manage their CONCENTRATION.
To give you a better idea of what a class looks like, see a demonstration video by GroovyKids® Yoga founder, Greville Henwood.
WHY TEACH KIDS YOGA ?
If you’re already a yoga practitioner, you know how great it makes you feel. That alone is enough reason to have our little ones practice too !
In addition to allowing kids to benefit from the well-being yoga offers, kids yoga develops:
⊹ Strength ⊹ Flexibility ⊹ Coordination ⊹ Balance ⊹ Focus & dedication ⊹ Relaxation ⊹ Mind & body awareness ⊹ Self-esteem and confidence.
And while the kids will be learning highly valuable life tools, they will have fun doing so!
Trial class: 75 aed
Term pack – 12 weekly classes (April 8 to June 24): 900 aed
♥︎ To offer the best learning experience to the children, only term registration is available after a trial class and class is limited to 10 children. ♥︎
